I make art sometimes. I live with my super adorable boyfriend, our white German Shepherd, Luka, our new black German Shepherd, Namira, and our neurotic little ferrets, Pixel and 8-bit. You can find more of my art on my sketchblog.

Anonymous asked: What kind of pens and whatnot do you use for traditional art?
Ahh, I have a ton of different kinds of pens in my “pencil boxes” that I keep around me when I’m sketching in my sketchbook. I’m really big on try lots of “cheap” art supplies, and I’m obsessed with going to Daiso all the time to buy tons of different pens from them (they switch out their stock often). I heavily prefer their $1.50 brush pens to “professional” brush pens (though they probably don’t have as good of ink, I guess?). I usually like to check different office supply sections of stores when I’m already there just to see if they have any interesting pens/brush pens/gel pens/highlighters/etc that I can go experiment with in my sketchbook, and if I like them I usually go back and buy two more. My favorite things to use for sketching/doodling in my sketchbook are “animation pencils”, like these ones (just hard-leaded colored pencils for under-sketching), brush pens (again, I like ones from Daiso), and gel pens are pretty cool too! (my favorites are gold, silver, and white gel pens, but they’re all fun)
I do use prismacolor colored pencils (the same giant set my dad bought me twelve years ago), prismacolor and tria markers, and derwent watercolor pencils, which are all a little pricey but last a really, really long time.
Anonymous asked: can you post a selfie?
…did I do it right? i-is this how you selfie?
I got an anon question about a week ago asking me to show my Sailor Moon stuff! I didn’t want to just reply to it with the photos because then I couldn’t arrange them ~*~ prettily ~*~. But this is most of it! The rest of it (some dolls, the manga single issues, some posters) are all in storage because I didn’t have anywhere to put them c:
Anonymous asked: Sorry for asking anonymously but, have you ever played Dark Souls?
No, I haven’t :c It looks fun though!
Anonymous asked: Haii! First off, let me say I ADORE your art, you and your two dogs! But! My question is... Have you and your boyfriend ever ran into a fan on the street, and what did you do? =)
Thank you! ; u ; And Austin’s been recognized a couple times just out and about! He always stops to chat for a little while. I never get recognized because… I’m totally irrelevant? (And I like it that way, haha)
Anonymous asked: Are you excited for Connect to a New World? What is your biggest hope for it? (btw i love your art~<3)
Thank you! * u * And I’m SO excited for it! I think it looks really great and I love all the character designs. I’m so ready to woo Rega and Menou and I’m really pleased with all the reports I’ve seen from the Japanese players about the character’s (eligible and non) personalities. The only thing I’m really bummed about is that town customization is back. I hated it in A New Beginning. I’m not even really that fond of character customization, but the town customization completely breaks the atmosphere for me. Having to design and redesign the town layout yourself completely ruins that “small town feeling” that is so perfect in 64, BTN and AWL (though I’m not the biggest AWL fan). The entire customization system was too gimmicky in ANB and I hope they found a way to resolve that (though it doesn’t seem like it because the only way I can think to resolve it would be to not have it… or at least have it be optional?)
Anonymous asked: Which Harvest Moon would you recommend for 3DS? :3
Out of the two for the 3DS, I’d definitely recommend A New Beginning over a Tale of Two Towns! c: Rune Factory 4 (Rune Factory is a spin-off series of Harvest Moon) is also really great!
